"Hillary S. Webb has collected a series of interviews that is as provocative as it is fascinating, and she mirrors the shamanic devotion to service by sharing these stories with her readers."

--Arnold Mindell, author The Shaman's Body

"Traveling between the Worlds is a remarkable opportunity to 'sit with' modern teachers and healers walking the path of shamanism, and learn from them to awaken those same innate abilities within you. Each one expresses with dedication how important it is to love the Earth, to serve All Our Relations, to dance with joy in the presence of such power and beauty. Reading this book can open you for some wonderful journeys of your own."

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Seacoast area author Hillary S. Webb has recently published her first book with New Page Books, a division of Career Press Inc. of Franklin Lakes, N. J. "Exploring Shamanism" is an introduction to Shamanism, and a primer for potentially interested students of the mystic and spiritual traditions of ancient cultures. Webb is a native of Salem, Mass., an accident of birth that availed her natural spiritual curiosity with a wealth of resources. The witch trials themselves were of course unrelated to the unusual concentration of teachers and libraries of nontraditional spiritualism, but rather the fact of Salem having become a Mecca for seekers of alternative spirituality. Webb writes in her foreword: "For these people, the creative force of the universe was not off somewhere in the clouds, but a tangible part of the physical world, accessible to everyone at any time." read the enitire article here

Those seeking spiritual empowerment seem to be embracing the shamanic teachings and traditions of ancient tribal peoples more so than ever before, and Hillary S. Webb's Exploring Shamanism does a great job of making those teachings not only understandable, but also completely accessible to today's busy seekers.

A long-time student of these Earth-bases spiritualities, Webb presents a clear and easy to grasp picture of the worlds of shamanic experiences and the beliefs behind this ancient belief system, beliefs that pre-date Christianity by thousands of years, yet are still completely relevant today. Using examples from her own studies and experiences, as well as the research of others, the author takes us on a journey into altered states of reality, where we venture into other world levels seeking the power of healing and wisdom. We meet our power animals and spirit allies, as well as negative forces that can harm us, and learn how to navigate the lower, middle and upper worlds that shamans utilize to find the answers they seek....
